I have worked and played on the water all my life and got my first SUP board twelve years ago. As an RYA yachtmaster instructor in the past, it was a simple transition for me to take my teaching out onto the sea each summer and have been sharing this style of yoga now for nearly a decade. This is my seventh yoga teacher conversion course and am qualified to offer you this as Senior Yoga teacher with the YAPUK.
This course will offer you:
28 hours on the water and the class room exploring the unique practice of SUP yoga, the setting up of a SUP yoga class, cultivating a sense of connection with nature and practicing the delivery of SUP yoga. Inside we deliver lectures on meteorology, health and safety, anchoring and SUP yoga set up, clothing, tides, types of boards, business considerations. sequencing and modifying the practice for SUP.
Teaching mentoring and guidance. This course is open to yoga teachers with a minimum of six months teaching experience.
Boards are provided however in the light of COVID 19 I am requiring all participants to have their own wetsuits.
